What are Animal Ambassadors?
The core message of Wildlife Associates is to act respectfully toward the wild things on this planet. For founder, Steve Karlin, and his staff, this stewardship begins at home with the care of Wildlife Associate's non-releasable wild animals. These animals come from a variety of sources, including wildlife rehabilitation centers, the California Department of Fish and Game, humane societies, zoos and animal rescue organizations. Most of these animals would be destroyed if the organization did not take them. They stay with Wildlife Associates their entire lives. These animals are the heart and soul of the organization, and their care is foremost.

Where Do Our Animals Come From?
As people develop and expand into natural areas, vital wildlife habitat is destroyed and countless animals are left homeless and injured. Many of these creatures can be nursed back to health but would not survive if returned to their natural habitat. For these animals we use the term "non-releasable". These non-releasable animals are placed with us by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, California Department of Fish and Game, wildlife rehabilitation centers and humane societies. Wildlife Associates has only non-releasable wildlife and cares for these wonderful animals for their entire lives.
