WildLIFE Handler / Educator Position Available

Position:   Full-time Wildlife Handler / Educator

Organization:   For 22 years Wildlife Associates has been teaching children and adults to care for living things and understand the natural systems on which all life depends. We accomplish this through our educational assembly programs, classroom presentations, corporate seminars, adult workshops and television appearances featuring non-releasable wild animals. We reach over half a million children in Northern California every year.

Description:   Full-time employment as part of a team responsible for raising, training, and caring for the animals at our sanctuary, and for presenting our educational programs. We care for a wide variety of non-releasable wildlife throughout their entire lives. This position involves a high degree of hands-on work with the animals. New employees are trained in our handling techniques and educational methodology.

Requirements:   We are seeking a positive, motivated, energetic professional to join our team. Applicants must have comfortable interpersonal communication skills, a good sense of humor, a minimum of two (2) years of previous full-time paid experience caring for and handling wildlife at a recognized wildlife facility, proven presentation skills, experience handling wildlife in an educational setting, a college degree, a current driver's license and a clean DMV record.

Compensation:   Salary based on experience
